About Us

The Amelogensis Imperfecta/Dentinogenesis Imperfecta UK Clinical Excellence Network (AIDI UK CEN) was established in 2019 by clinicians specialising in Paediatric Dentistry and who were passionate about helping children with these conditions.  The group currently comprise of 69 paediatric dentists from centres all across the UK.  The committee meets regularly to plan study days and national projects.  Since 2020 the CEN has hosted biannual study days for dental professionals based on the care of children with inherited dental defects.  There are a number of nationally based projects supported by the CEN including development of information leaflets, genetic testing for amelogenesis imperfecta and management guides for amelogenesis imperfecta.

The CEN group have published a number of publications and continues to support clinicians throughout the UK in the care of patients wiht inherited dental defects.
